Archimedes of Syracuse (probably 287 BC - 212 BC) was a Greek mathematician, physicist, philosopher, inventor, and astronomer, whose life was filled with many remarkable moments. The era in which he lived was one of the most challenging periods of ancient Sicily, plagued by three Punic Wars over Mediterranean dominance between Rome and Carthage. During the siege of the city in the second Punic War, Archimedes was killed. A Roman legionary burst into his workshop, who was to lead him to the Roman military leader besieging Syracuse (Marcus Claudius Marcellus). Archimedes asked for a moment to finish the task at hand, but the impatient soldier stabbed Archimedes. After his death, Archimedes' house was searched by Roman soldiers, who took all his valuable works. However, a single treatise remained persistently hidden in the bowels of the secret workshop - a treatise studying the possibilities of influencing the Earth's gravitational field. Find this treatise before the Roman soldiers return for it! Access to the secret workshop is protected by numerous codes, riddles, and even discoveries made by Archimedes himself. Verify your knowledge, logical reasoning, wit, and teamwork. Can you find the secret workshop, the forgotten treatise, and the way back?
