Yeah, I'm Bob, that old geezer who nailed quite a few scumbags. I remember the days when I was sniffing on the heels of little thieves in Zizkov, Prague. That place was rotten to the marrow of its bones - thefts, assaults, murders in broad daylight. There were spots an ordinary soul would never stink, but I enjoyed my job and loved the city dearly. By that time, I had already become a sly rogue who liked to drive out any scum from the beloved city. That year, I was working as a lieutenant in the police precinct. Yeah, those were the days. I know, my memory doesn't serve me as it used to, I forget and lots of cases blend into one big colorful streak. But I still have a vivid image of that one... It was one of the first spring days, but still far from summer, girls were already running outside in short dresses and light sweaters and it was a great spectacle for us cops. Our all-day shift was ending that evening, I had rookies at the station, and I was looking forward to kicking back at the local bar. But this thought was driven out of my head by a ringing phone. I picked it up – report from headquarters, apparently a nasty murder in the park. Well, booze and women will have to wait a few hours. Back then I rushed the greenies to their first big case, well, in the meantime I could peacefully savor a few glasses of something sharper.
